Karachi is expected to get some respite from the recent hot and humid weather as the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast monsoon rains from July 8 to 10.
The PMD’s Early Warning System has alerted residents of Karachi and other parts of Sindh to prepare for potential thunderstorms, strong winds, and lightning starting Monday.
Monsoon rains are predicted for Karachi and surrounding districts, including Ghotki, Sukkur, Khairpur, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Dadu, and Jacobabad, from July 8 to 10. The monsoon winds sweeping into the region could bring rainfall to these areas.
While the arrival of the monsoon may bring some relief, most of the province will continue to endure hot and humid conditions. Coastal areas like Karachi are forecast to receive isolated showers, with temperatures expected to range between 37 to 39 degrees Celsius.
