Garrett Morris recently opened up about his time on 2 Broke Girls, a beloved American sitcom that aired from 2011 to 2017. The renowned American actor and comedian celebrated his 89th birthday with reflections on the six-season stint he shared with Jennifer Coolidge.

In PEOPLE magazine, Morris recalled his interactions as Earl, a cashier in the sitcom’s ensemble cast, while Coolidge played Sophie Kaczynsky, his quirky, charming co-worker.

“Jennifer Coolidge is one of the most beautiful human beings you are ever going to meet,” Morris gushed. “I guarantee you, if you get close enough and watch her work, within 30 minutes, you will be in love with her. She’s just that special.”

Morris also highlighted Coolidge’s talents: “One of the most brilliant actors on the scene.” He noted how impressed he was by Coolidge’s energy; “her presence naturally invoked admiration,” he said.

“I would often find myself watching her work and getting so absorbed in it, I’d forget my lines,” Morris shared. “It’s a testament to her incredible craft.”

He went on to praise the entire cast of 2 Broke Girls, but singled out Coolidge as being especially memorable: “Working with Jennifer Coolidge is one of the great privileges of my life.”

The friendship between these two stars transcended screen time; they’ve stayed in touch over the years. Morris’s glowing comments and admiration for his co-star have not only earned him a place in television history but also cemented their special bond off-screen, proving that sometimes beauty and talent are enough to ignite genuine connections.

This season of 2 Broke Girls left behind an enduring legacy through its cast’s memorable performances, particularly those crafted by the dynamic duo of Earl and Sophie.
