In a ceremonial event held at the Governor House on Tuesday, Syed Murad Ali Shah assumed office as the 38th Chief Minister of Sindh after being sworn in by Governor Sindh Muhammad Kamran Khan Tissori.
The oath-taking ceremony was graced by the presence of Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who attended to mark the occasion.
Chief Secretary Dr. Fakhre Alam oversaw the swearing-in proceedings, formally announcing MPA Syed Murad Ali Shah as the elected Chief Minister of Sindh by the Provincial Assembly on February 26.
Governor Tissori administered the oath to Syed Murad Ali Shah, with outgoing caretaker Chief Minister Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar also present on the stage.
Among the dignitaries attending the ceremony were Madam Faryal Talpur, former Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, former Speaker Agha Siraj Durani, Speaker Sindh Assembly Awais Qadir Shah, Deputy Speaker Anthony Naveed, former ministers, and PPP MPAs including Nasir Shah, Sharjeel Memon, Imtiaz Shaikh, Saeed Ghani, Sardar Shah, and Jam Khan Shoro.
The event also saw the presence of diplomats from various countries, the Inspector General of Police, senior officers of the Pakistan Navy and Airforce, former chief secretaries, and other distinguished guests.
Syed Murad Ali Shah took time to engage with his constituents during the ceremony, mingling with attendees and even taking selfies with them to mark the occasion.
