Lahore buzzed with festive energy as former prime minister Nawaz Sharif joined Basant celebrations with a group of friends, marking the traditional kite-flying festival. The event took place in the vibrant Walled City area, overlooking Masti Gate at the Sultan Tipu Building near Pani Wala Talab.

Nawaz Sharif spent several hours engaged in the lively festivities from his rooftop perch, watching as colorful kites soared through the sky and appreciating the quality of the kite strings. His visit coincided with a four-hour Basant visit that saw many political and social figures present, including Sheikh Rohail Asghar, Khurram Butt, and Ahsan Dar.
