A British national joined nine others killed when a passenger bus tumbled from a hilly road in western Nepal last Monday, leaving 44 people on board, including 19 fatalities identified thus far.

Only nine victims have been confirmed so far, and many more are expected to be identified later. Among those killed were a New Zealander and a Chinese national who were severely injured during the crash. The injured were treated at hospitals in Kathmandu.

This tragedy underscores the perilous nature of transport in Nepal, where frequent road accidents claim hundreds of lives each year due to poor road conditions and insufficient safety measures in mountainous terrain.
