On Thursday, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) sanctioned a significant increase in the electricity tariff, raising it by Rs2.56 per unit.

This adjustment is part of the monthly fuel adjustment for June and adds to the financial strain on Pakistani consumers.

The tariff hike, driven by changes in fuel prices, will affect most electricity users. However, Lifeline and K-Electric customers will be exempt from this increase.
