New CGI Reveals Massive Scale of Dinosaur-Killing Asteroid

A viral video has gone viral on social media, offering an unprecedented view into one of Earth’s most cataclysmic moments: the asteroid strike that wiped out the dinosaurs 66 million years ago. The video places this colossal space rock—estimated at between six and nine miles wide—in stark contrast to a bustling modern metropolis, with towering skyscrapers seemingly reduced to insignificance as it barrels toward our planet.

The devastation wrought by this celestial visitor was not confined to its initial impact off Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. The seismic shockwave triggered a cascade of catastrophic events: fireballs that engulfed the sky, massive tsunamis inundating coastlines, and a decade-long “impact winter” that plunged Earth into darkness, cooling temperatures enough to cripple food chains and extinguish 75% of species, including non-avian dinosaurs.

Despite the overwhelming scientific evidence supported by fossil records and the 200-kilometer-wide impact crater, young-Earth creationists continue to challenge these findings with assertions tied to Noah’s flood narrative. On the other end of the spectrum, some fringe theories deny the asteroid’s existence entirely or blame Earth’s energy sources on ancient plankton rather than an extraterrestrial intruder.

While it may seem inconceivable that such a massive asteroid could be so dwarfed by our modern cities in this visualization, it starkly reveals how insignificant earthly structures are when compared to cosmic scale. In reality, the asteroid measured around 10-12 kilometers wide and was traveling at approximately 20 kilometers per second upon impact. It released energy equivalent to billions of nuclear bombs, incinerating its path through the atmosphere with cataclysmic force.

Despite these extreme comparisons, the event marked a pivotal moment for Earth’s evolutionary trajectory. The profound devastation cleared the way for mammals to emerge as dominant life forms and set the stage for humanity’s emergence and ascent.
