Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif announced on Sunday that the government has introduced substantial visa reforms to facilitate foreign investors, the business community, and tourists, aiming to boost tourism, foreign investment, and trade activities in the country.

Businessmen, investors, and tourists from 126 countries will receive visas within 24 hours through an online system. Additionally, traders and tourists from these countries will be exempt from visa fees, making Pakistan an attractive destination for both business and tourism.

Special arrangements have been made for Sikh pilgrims holding passports from third countries to obtain visas on arrival. Electronic gates will be installed at Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad airports to facilitate travelers.

A dashboard will be established at the Ministry of Interior to monitor the implementation of the new visa regime, which includes visa-free entry, business visa lists, and tourist visas on arrival.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the Ministry of Interior, relevant ministries, and institutions for their efforts in implementing the new visa regime.
