Audio Leak Exposes Khawarij’s Sympathy for KP Ruling Party
An alleged audio leak has surfaced online, exposing links between the ruling political party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Fitna al-Khawarij. The leaked conversation involves militant commanders identified as ‘Badshah’ and ‘Rocketi.’
These militants instructed their associates not to abduct or extort KP Assembly member Asif Mehsud due to his affiliation with the ruling party. Rocketi allegedly stopped and searched Asif Mehsud in South Waziristan, issuing an extortion notice.
However, Badshah intervened, ordering that the lawmaker should neither be kidnapped nor harmed. The audio also indicates that an apology was directed to be conveyed to the MPA after the search, while Rocketi reportedly confirmed compliance with the instructions.
Experts believe this audio is clear evidence of the Khawarij considering the leaders of the ruling political party as their sympathizers and granting them immunity from kidnapping and extortion. Analysts further stated that the leak reflects how the KP government’s provision of a political and social space for militant elements has led to these views.
