In an exclusive interview for “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” actress Nicole Kidman opened up about her new role as Dr. Kay Scarpetta, a pathologist in the upcoming Prime series. The 58-year-old shared that she possesses impressive skills in performing autopsies.
“Speaking on what it entails, I can confidently remove all organs,” Kidman boasted. “I know them all—lungs, liver, gallbladder, intestines—unless I misunderstood something and was dealing with a dummy or something similar.”
Kidman elaborated further: “Because this part of the job involves understanding and handling human anatomy, I worked alongside an exceptional medical examiner who provided invaluable insights into my work. Studying his methods helped me refine my skills for the demanding role as Dr. Scarpetta.”
The actress’ revelations about her expertise are particularly noteworthy given her extensive career in film and television, where she has grappled with roles requiring a similarly intimate knowledge of human biology. Her performance is set to captivate audiences as she delves into this complex character’s world.
