Police in Chaman have registered a case against Opposition Leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai and other party figures for allegedly making inflammatory remarks during a public rally. The first information report (FIR) was filed at the Chaman police station based on a complaint from Abdul Wali Khan of Gulistan, who alleged that Achakzai made controversial statements while addressing a crowd of 650 to 700 people.
The FIR accuses Achakzai and other party leaders, including the chairman of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP), of targeting the provincial administration, criticizing law and order, and accusing the government of failing to protect the public. The complainant also stated that Achakzai rejected the legitimacy of the current government.
The case was registered under multiple sections of the Pakistan Penal Code, including Sections 153, 505, 131, 341, 147, and 149, as well as violations of the Balochistan Sound System (Regulation) Act, 2016. The rally also caused public inconvenience due to blocked traffic and the use of loudspeakers illegally to incite resentment against state institutions.
