The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) wrapped up its latest ‘Golden Eagle’ training exercise this week, emphasizing the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and indigenous technology to bolster combat readiness. Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) provided a detailed account of the event, highlighting how the exercise showcased PAF’s ability to operate in increasingly complex scenarios.

Executed under unified command at Air Headquarters in Islamabad, the two-force construct featured cutting-edge AI capabilities and net-centric operations that seamlessly incorporated indigenous technologies such as loitering munitions and drones. The exercise demonstrated a robust integrated air defense system, where kinetic, cyber, space, and electromagnetic spectrum operations were executed with precision.

ISPR emphasized the importance of the kinetic phase, which included advanced combat aircraft equipped with long-range missiles and stand-off weapons, supported by airborne early warning platforms and refueling assets. These elements worked in concert to ensure effective engagement under simulated combat conditions.

A key highlight was the demonstration of “manned-unmanned teaming,” where drones were deployed to operate in a highly contested environment, showcasing PAF’s ability to conduct high-tempo operations efficiently. This capability validated the PAF’s capacity to maintain operational readiness and counter emerging security challenges effectively.

ISPR concluded by emphasizing that the success of ‘Golden Eagle’ reaffirmed the Pakistan Air Force’s dedication to continuous improvement and innovation, underpinning its commitment to upholding strategic preparedness in regional security landscapes.
