
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s commitment to peace in a post on X. Dar thanked all stakeholders involved in the peace process, including U.S. President Donald Trump, who held telephone conversations with leaders of several Muslim countries. The call led by Trump with Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Qatar, Egypt, UAE, and Jordan marked an important step toward regional stability.
Dar also expressed appreciation for U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and the broader American team. He thanked Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and other figures for their constructive role in the process. Dar acknowledged the contributions of United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres and regional partners like Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Egypt, and Qatar.
Dar praised Pakistan’s leadership, commending Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his vision and commitment to peace, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for representing Pakistan in recent discussions. He highlighted the Foreign Ministry’s sustained diplomatic engagement as key to advancing the outcome.
