Shakira Opens Up About Harsh Breakup With Gerard Pique

Shakira Discloses Breakup Hardships

Shakira recently opened up about the difficulties she faced following her breakup with former soccer star Gerard Pique. In an interview with The Times of London, the Waka Waka hitmaker described the separation as “the darkest moment” in her life, leading to “the dissolution of [their] family.”

Despite these challenges, Shakira expressed deep gratitude for Pique and his role in shaping her into a better mother. She has two sons, Milan and Sasha, with the athlete.

Reflecting on the emotional aftermath of their breakup, Shakira noted that she has become stronger through this experience. The 49-year-old Grammy-winning singer emphasized that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, highlighting human resilience.

The artist also shared how her hardships have changed her perspective on life and relationships. She currently is not dating anyone as she prioritizes her career and children.
