Pakistan’s federal government announced on Friday it has reduced the prices of petrol and diesel by 22 rupees per litre. The Prime Minister described this as “a gift for the people” during the third day of Eid.
In his statement, the Prime Minister confirmed that this move fulfills a promise to the nation. He emphasized that providing relief to citizens is one of his top priorities.
The Prime Minister’s Office noted that the government has consistently provided relief measures even in challenging times, including last week when it subsidized fuel further by over 130 rupees per litre. This action prevented price hikes and offered significant relief to the public.
