Pakistan has introduced the ‘Pak ID’ mobile app to simplify visa-on-arrival applications for travelers from 120 eligible countries. Developed by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), the app enables users to apply for business and tourist visas, track application progress in real time, and complete the process within 24 hours—significantly faster than traditional methods.
The app integrates advanced features such as facial recognition, document scanning, and photo upload capabilities, allowing applicants to complete the process entirely online without visiting physical offices. Users also receive real-time notifications and updates on their visa status.
Available on both Android and iOS, the app extends its functionality to identity card applications for overseas Pakistanis, aligning with NADRA’s broader digital transformation efforts. While it facilitates visa prior to arrival applications, other visa categories still require applicants to use the Pakistan Online Visa System website.
