Today, the Government and people of Pakistan are observing Kashmir Solidarity Day, reiterating their unwavering commitment to stand with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their just struggle for self-determination.

In their messages on this occasion, President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister emphasized Pakistan’s steadfast support for the cause. They reaffirmed the nation’s resolve to advocate for the rights of the Kashmiri people at all international forums.

To draw attention to the grave situation in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister addressed letters to the President of the United Nations Security Council, the UN Secretary-General, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). He called for the implementation of relevant UN Security Council resolutions and urged these international bodies to support a free, fair, and impartial plebiscite under UN auspices.

Before Solidarity Day, a comprehensive briefing was organized for Islamabad-based diplomats. These officials were briefed on the ongoing situation and human rights violations in IIOJK.

Earlier today, officers and staff members of the Ministry participated in the Solidarity Day Walk held on Jinnah Avenue, demonstrating their unity and strong support for the Kashmiri cause.

Across Pakistan’s diplomatic missions around the world, a variety of activities are being organized. These include seminars, webinars, public rallies, and photo exhibitions aimed at expressing solidarity with the Kashmiri people and highlighting human rights abuses in IIOJK.
