Pakistan Shaheens Ready to Take on England Lions in Abu Dhabi White-ball Series

Lahore, 2 February 2026: The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the 16-member Pakistan Shaheens squad for the upcoming T20 and 50-over series against England Lions in Abu Dhabi. The three-match T20 series will begin on Friday, 20 February, while the five-match 50-over series will be played from 27 February to 9 March.

All matches are set to take place at Stadium Oval in Abu Dhabi. The Pakistan Shaheens squad will participate in a seven-day training camp from 11-17 February in Karachi before departing for United Arab Emirates.

Left-handed batter Shamyl Hussain is set to lead the Shaheens in both T20 and 50-over series, while in the batting department he will be joined by Abdul Samad, Hasan Nawaz, tournament player Maaz Sadaqat, and left-handed batter Saad Khan.

Pakistan U19 batter Sameer Minhas has also been called up for both the series alongside his brother Arafat Minhas, who have made significant strides following their appearances in the ICC U19 World Cup and ACC Men’s Asia Cup Rising Stars.

Rohail Nazir and Saad Baig will take on wicket-keeping duties. The spin contingent includes former Pakistan international Saad Masood and left-arm wrist spinner Sufyan Moqim, while fast bowlers include Ali Raza of the Pakistan U19 team alongside Ahmed Daniyal, Akif Javed, Mohammad Salman, and Shahid Aziz.

Ijaz Ahmed Jnr will be the head coach for the tour. Former Test player Sarfaraz Ahmed is set to serve as mentor and team manager. Mansoor Amjad will take on the role of fielding coach, while Aizaz Cheema will coach the bowling. Mohammad Tahir has been appointed physiotherapist, and Usman Hashmi is the performance analyst for Pakistan Shaheens.
