Pakistan Women’s ‘A’ Team Sets Sail for Asia Cup Rising Stars in Thailand

Lahore, February 1, 2026: The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the Pakistan Women’s ‘A’ squad for the upcoming ACC Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026. Scheduled to take place from February 13 to 22 in Bangkok, Thailand, this 20-over tournament places Pakistan ‘A’ in Group A alongside India ‘A’, UAE, and Nepal. The other Group B teams include Bangladesh ‘A’, Sri Lanka ‘A’, Malaysia, and hosts Thailand.

Leading the squad is off-spinning all-rounder Umm-e-Hani, who will be aided by her fellow capped players such as pacer Waheeda Akhtar and batter Shawaal Zulfiqar. Other notable call-ups include Pakistan Women’s U19 captain Eman Naseer and batter Komal Khan, who demonstrated quality skills during the recent 3-2 T20 series win over Bangladesh Women’s U19.

Additional players in the squad include batters Gull Rukh (Dera Ghazi Khan), Hafsa Khalid (Karachi), Huraina Sajjad (Karachi), and Shawaal Zulfiqar (Lahore). Wicket-keeper Yusra Amir from Karachi will take on this role. Batsmen join Anosha Nasir, Momina Riasat, Noreen Yaqoob, Lubna Behram, Neha Sharmin Nadeem, and Syeda Masooma Jafri in the spin attack, while experienced Waheeda Akhtar leads a pacer contingent that includes Lubna Behram, Neha Sharmin Nadeem, and Syeda Masooma Jafri.

In this eight-team tournament, UAE, Nepal, Malaysia, and Thailand will field their national women’s teams. The other four teams are participating with ‘A’ squads. A total of 30 players were selected for a week-long probables camp at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre from January 25 to determine the 15-member squad. Following this, they will participate in a pre-tournament camp before departing on February 10.
