LAHORE: The Balochistan Economic and Investment Forum 2026 will be held in Lahore on October 21, with the aim of drawing domestic and foreign investment and promoting industrial growth in the province.
The event is being organised jointly by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade. FPCCI Regional Chairman Zaki Ijaz and BBoIT Vice Chairman Bilal Khan Kakar announced the forum at a press conference, describing it as a platform to explore opportunities in key sectors and strengthen public private collaboration.
Senior officials from several government departments will take part and deliver sector briefings. Speakers include the managing director of the Lasbela Industrial Estates Development Authority, the chairman of the Gwadar Port Authority, the managing director of Balochistan’s technical education authority and officials from mining, fisheries and livestock departments.
The organisers stressed Balochistan’s natural resources, mineral reserves, long coastline and strategic location as reasons the province is well placed for investment. They noted that Gwadar Port in particular has the potential to become a major hub for trade, transit and logistics if supporting infrastructure keeps pace.
