Pakistani Crew Abducted by Somali Pirates Appeal for Immediate Government Intervention

Families of abducted Pakistani crew members aboard the oil tanker “Honor 25” have made an urgent appeal to the government, specifically Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. The families expressed deep concern over their loved ones’ safety at the Karachi Press Club.

The relatives stated they have been experiencing severe mental distress for ten days without any concrete progress in securing the crew’s release despite multiple contacts with authorities. They called for a special committee to be formed, along with appointing a focal person to coordinate efforts and maintain communication.

No ransom demands have yet been made by the abductors. The families also appealed to Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Marshal Syed Asim Munir for intervention in the matter.

The kidnapped crew includes Syed Kashif Umar Naqvi, Syed Hussain Yousaf, Mahmood Ahmed Ansari, Usman Ghani, Aqeel Khan, Muhammad Yaseen, Imran Ali, Rafiullah Khan, Yasir Khan, and Ameen Bin Shams. The families remain in constant fear for the crew’s safety and are seeking swift government action to ensure their safe recovery.
