Heimtextil Frankfurt officially opened its doors today, marking the beginning of what promises to be a defining edition for the global home & contract textiles industry. Under the theme “Lead the Change,” the show enters this year with a refreshed vision, combining tradition and innovation to reflect current market dynamics and evolving buyer needs.

Pakistan has a strong presence with 287 exhibitors, supported by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), at a fair that brings together over 3,100 exhibitors from 65 countries. Prominent Pakistani exhibitors include Gul Ahmed, Al-Karam, Lucky Textiles, Nishat, and Sapphire.

The Carpet & Rugs section remains a major highlight of the fair, celebrating the timeless art and heritage of carpet making. Pakistan’s rich weaving tradition is showcased by TDAP and 10 participating companies. Everest Export Corporation, SBR Enterprises, and Khyber Weavers International will be part of this section.

On Day 1, exhibitors shared a common view that Heimtextil 2026 began on a very positive note. Mr. Zaki Bashir, CEO of Gul Ahmed Textile Mills, has been appointed to the prestigious Heimtextil Advisory Board, becoming the first Pakistani industry leader to receive this recognition.

Mr. Ali Monnoo, Executive Director at Samira Fabrics, stated: “The first day provided a strong platform for Pakistani exhibitors to connect with global buyers, explore new opportunities, and showcase the country’s textile expertise.”

Mr. Muzzamil Qureshi, Sales & Marketing Manager at Kamal Textiles, said: “A strong start at Heimtextil 2026 reflects growing confidence in innovative textile solutions and sets high expectations for the days ahead.”

Mr. Moin A. Razzaq, Director at Hasham towel, expressed: “Day 01 at Heimtextil 2026 opened with remarkable energy, witnessing strong footfall and vibrant engagement from buyers and industry leaders alike.”

With an energetic opening day marked by high visitor turnout and strong buyer engagement, Heimtextil 2026 is expected to maintain its momentum over the coming days. The exhibition continues to provide an influential platform for networking, trend discovery, and meaningful connections with global industry leaders.
