Paris Olympics: Arshad Nadeem Qualifies for Javelin Finals

Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem has secured a spot in the finals of the javelin throw event at the Paris Olympics. During the qualification round, Nadeem exceeded the 84-meter minimum mark with a throw of 86.59 meters on his first attempt, showcasing his exceptional skill.

Nadeem’s performance ensures his participation in the final, where he will compete for a medal. This marks his second consecutive appearance in an Olympic final, following a fifth-place finish in Tokyo.

Out of seven Pakistani athletes sent to the Olympics, Nadeem is the only one still in contention for a medal. The javelin throw final is scheduled for August 8 at 11:25 PM Pakistan Standard Time (PST).

Nadeem’s recent accolades include a silver medal at the World Championship and a gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, where he achieved a record throw of 90.18 meters.
