The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has removed former cricketers Wahab Riaz and Abdul Razzaq from its seven-member selection committee.

Sources indicate that Asad Shafiq and Mohammad Yousuf, who are still part of the committee, are also expected to be removed. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi is set to announce a new selection committee in the coming days.

In a press conference in New York on June 10, following Pakistan’s defeat to India, Naqvi hinted at significant changes in response to the team’s poor performance. “It seemed that a minor surgery would suffice for the Pakistan cricket team, but after the extremely poor performance, it has become clear that the team needs major surgery,” he said.
