Pakistan observed a national Day of Gratitude, marking what officials called a historic victory by the Pakistan Armed Forces against recent Indian aggression.
The celebrations honored the success of Operation Bunyān al-Mursūs, which, according to military sources, decisively thwarted enemy advances, safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty. The military’s actions were hailed as a source of national pride, with tributes paid to the bravery and sacrifices of soldiers, officers, and martyrs.
Officials described the triumph not just as a strategic win, but as a symbol of unity and resilience for the wider Muslim community. Ceremonies were held across the country, including a special Quran recitation at the Pakistan Coast Guards headquarters mosque after Fajr prayers. The national flag was raised, and floral wreaths were laid at the martyrs’ monument in honor of the fallen.
A spokesperson for the Coast Guards expressed deep gratitude to the nation’s defenders, reaffirming the public’s unwavering support for the military and vowing continued readiness to defend the homeland at any cost. “Long live the Pakistan Armed Forces. Long live Pakistan,” Pakistan Coast Guard stated.
