Outspoken journalist Piers Morgan has reacted to Blake Lively’s statement following a US judge dismissing harassment claims against co-star Justin Baldoni.
A Manhattan federal judge dismissed Thursday defamation and conspiracy claims brought by actor Blake Lively against co-star Justin Baldoni, according to court filing. However, her claims of retaliation and breach of contract still stand as their May 18 civil trial approaches.
Lively had filed a complaint against Baldoni and producer Jamey Heath for allegedly inappropriate behavior and comments during the shooting of “It Ends with Us.” Following the setback, Blake Lively reaffirmed her intent to take legal action against co-star Justin Baldoni, even after a key harassment claim was dismissed. She stated she will not be distracted by the digital soap opera.
In a statement shared on her Instagram Stories, Lively said she remains committed to pursuing justice, with the case now set to go to trial in New York on May 18. “I will never stop doing my part in fighting to expose the systems and people who seek to harm, shame, silence and retaliate against victims,” she wrote.
Piers Morgan tweeted about Lively’s statement, calling it laughably disingenuous and stating that she is destroying her brand with this ridiculous case.
