Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Karachi for a one-day visit to review the operations of Karachi Port and make key decisions to enhance its efficiency.
Upon arrival at Faisal Base, the PM was welcomed by Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori.
During his visit, Prime Minister Sharif will receive briefings from the Karachi Port Trust, Port Qasim Authority, and Pakistan National Shipping Corporation. He is also scheduled to meet with a delegation of business leaders from Karachi’s export and import sectors.
The primary focus of the Prime Minister’s visit is to improve port efficiency and boost national revenue. He will receive briefings on facilitating the business community and reforming the export and import sectors.
This marks Prime Minister Sharif’s second visit to Karachi in less than four months. On April 24th, he visited the city to pay respects at Mazar-e-Quaid and held a meeting with the Sindh cabinet.
