PM Shehbaz visits Zaeem Qadri’s home to offer condolences

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Zaeem Qadri’s residence in Lahore on Sunday to offer condolences following the passing of the senior politician and former provincial minister. The visit came after Zaeem Qadri succumbed to cardiac arrest on February 13, 2026.

The Prime Minister expressed his sympathy for the bereaved family members, praying for their patience and strength in this difficult time. He also highlighted that Qadri’s dedication to democracy will be etched into history, underscoring his significant contributions during his career.

During the visit, besides Shehbaz Sharif, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Talha Burki were present.

Qadri served as a member of the Punjab Assembly, provincial minister, and led a prominent faction within Pakistan Muslim League (N). Throughout his career, he made notable strides in promoting democratic values and public service. His contributions to these fields remain remembered by many.

After the visit, Qadri’s funeral prayers were held at Miani Sahab graveyard in Lahore. The event underscored the deep respect and admiration for a man who embodied integrity and commitment to Pakistan’s democratic ethos.
