PMD: Dry Weather Expected Across Most of Country

ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted mainly dry weather across most parts of the country for Thursday, with cold conditions likely continuing in hilly areas throughout the day.

Daytime temperatures are expected to remain above normal across several regions. However, partly cloudy conditions and light rain may occur at a few places, particularly in Gilgit-Baltistan during evening and night hours. In Islamabad and its surrounding areas, dry weather is anticipated with cold conditions prevailing early morning and nighttime, with daytime temperatures forecasted between 27 and 29 degrees Celsius.

Most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to experience dry weather, while hilly areas will remain cold during the day. Temperatures in plain areas can range from 29 to 31 degrees Celsius, whereas hilly regions may record temperatures between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius. In Chitral and nearby areas, light rain accompanied by partly cloudy conditions is expected at evening or night.

Punjab is forecasted to have mainly dry weather for most districts, with cold and partly cloudy conditions in Murree, Galliyat, and surrounding areas. Daytime temperatures are expected between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius there, while morning fog might occur in Narowal and Sialkot.

Sindh will remain dry with daytime temperatures ranging from 33 to 36 degrees Celsius across most districts. Similarly, dry weather is anticipated in most parts of Balochistan, although northern districts may experience cold conditions during the day and night hours. Daytime temperatures in northern areas are expected to range between 21 and 23 degrees Celsius, while southern parts can reach up to 33 to 35 degrees Celsius.

In Kashmir, cold and partly cloudy weather is predicted. Gilgit-Baltistan may experience partly cloudy conditions with the chance of light rain at isolated places during evening or night hours.
