Police in Kasur have not apprehended the suspect accused of sexually assaulting a four-year-old girl named Iman Fatima in the Mustafaabad area three days after the incident. The child was discovered critically injured with blood covering her body, and police believe she was assaulted before being thrown into a sewage drain to kill her.
Iman Fatima was initially taken to Bhulow Shah Hospital, where she was transferred to Lahore General Hospital due to worsening health conditions. A medical board has been formed to oversee her treatment, which currently takes place in the intensive care unit. The preliminary report indicates that Iman had suffered sexual assault and is receiving specialized medical attention.
Mustafaabad’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SHO) Tasaddiq stated that the child’s parents are extremely impoverished and intend to hand over Iman to Child Protection authorities upon her discharge from hospital. He mentioned that DNA samples have been collected from more than ten suspects for analysis, with police confident in finding those responsible soon.
Police continue their raids and efforts to secure arrests of those involved.
