Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Minister Muzammil Aslam stated at a recent Peshawar Assembly session that the PPP is responsible for the 18th Amendment but remains silent on the National Finance Commission Award.

Aslam emphasized that any resources extracted from a province belong to that province. He also mentioned that if Rs 90 billion were provided to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it would greatly benefit the region.

According to Aslam, the federal government owes approximately Rs 80 billion in unpaid windfall levies, with this matter still pending in the High Court.
