President Zardari to Visit China for CPEC Phase-II Discussions

President Asif Ali Zardari is set to embark on a four-day visit to China from November 4 to 7, where he will hold discussions on the phase-two of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). During the visit, President Zardari will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and other top officials to discuss Pak-China relations, regional developments, and global issues of mutual concern.

Zardari will also participate in the Shanghai World Expo, highlighting Pakistan’s role in fostering global trade partnerships.

Earlier, Chinese Premier Li Qiang visited Pakistan, where both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening strategic cooperation, particularly in the areas of economy, investment, and regional connectivity through CPEC. President Zardari stressed the importance of enhancing connectivity through infrastructure projects to boost bilateral trade and people-to-people connections.
