Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned Israeli forces for targeting a school-turned-shelter for displaced Palestinians in Gaza on Saturday. The attack, which resulted in over 100 deaths including women and children, was described by the Prime Minister as an unprecedented act of aggression.
In a statement from the Prime Minister’s House, Sharif denounced the assault on a children’s school as an act of extreme violence. He urged the international community, particularly the United Nations, to take concrete actions to halt the ongoing violence by Israel.
Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s call for accountability for the Israeli leadership and military, emphasizing that those responsible for the attack should face strict penalties. He also advocated for the enforcement of an International Court of Justice ruling against Israel.
Offering condolences to the families of the victims and praying for their souls, Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s full moral and diplomatic support for Palestinians. The attack, which also sparked a fire during Fajr prayer, is expected to increase the death toll as reports continue to emerge.
