Prince Harry is set to visit his late mother’s grave for the first time next month. The Duke of Sussex will travel to Althorp House in Northamptonshire, Diana’s home until her marriage to King Charles.
The trip coincides with celebrations marking one year since Harry’s Invictus Games and events supporting charities like WellChild and Scotty’s Little Soldiers.
Diana died at 36 from injuries sustained in a Paris car crash in 1997. Her remains are buried on an island in the Round Oval lake at Althorp.
This visit follows Harry’s first meeting with King Charles last September after 19 months, and his legal battle over security arrangements for him and his family since stepping down as working royals in 2020.
Security concerns have eased, according to sources. However, all decisions regarding security are the responsibility of the Home Office and King Charles.
Archie and Lilibet will accompany Harry on this visit, their last time seeing their grandfather in person until Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022.
