Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has officially confirmed a tariff increase for both its landline and broadband services, scheduled to be implemented from January 1, 2024. Customers nationwide received notifications on Friday, informing them of the upcoming adjustment in monthly rates, reflecting an increase of over 10%.
Sources within PTCL cite the decision to raise tariffs as a response to the rising business costs confronting the telecommunications company. Faced with the need to uphold service quality and address operational requirements, PTCL deems it necessary to revise the pricing structure for its services.
As part of the tariff revision, both landline and broadband customers will witness an uptick in their monthly bills. For Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) connections, the broadband rate adjustments are outlined below:
- 6 Mbps: Rs2,050
- 10 Mbps: Rs2,400
- 20 Mbps: Rs2,650
- 30 Mbps: Rs3,020
- 50 Mbps: Rs5,100
- 100 Mbps: Rs8,800
