PTI calls for Imran Khan’s transfer to private hospital

In Islamabad, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership expressed growing concern over the deteriorating health of their founder, Imran Khan. Expressing a sense of urgency, PTI Opposition Leader Mehmood Khan Achakzai demanded that Khan be immediately transferred to a private hospital for treatment of his right eye condition.

The opposition leader highlighted how the illness has gone largely unaddressed and cast doubt on who would bear responsibility if Khan loses vision in both eyes. He also criticized those obstructing all avenues towards Parliament, citing closed roads leading to national discourse.

Meanwhile, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan reported that PTI members are being barred from accessing key spaces within the political arena. They insist upon resolving matters amicably but fear the government will not be able to control a worsening situation if it escalates further.

Senator Kamran Murtaza raised alarm about Khan’s precarious health, noting he has already lost 85 percent of his vision in one eye. He called for immediate medical intervention and urged avoiding politicizing illness as seen with Imran Khan’s ex-wife, Kulsoom Nawaz. Expressing deep concern, Senator Murtassa also suggested a review of the former prime minister’s health condition should be undertaken by Rana Sanaullah and other opposition leaders.

PTI officials are now at odds over how to proceed with handling this situation without exacerbating public perception or risking potential political fallout. The leadership faces pressure not only to ensure Khan receives proper care but also to maintain a balance between addressing his health issues and upholding their campaign agenda.
