Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has cancelled its planned rally in Liaquat Bagh following successful talks with the government due to security concerns. The decision was confirmed by opposition leader Raja Nasir Abbas, who stated that the rally scheduled for Thursday had been called off at the government’s request.

Earlier, Rawalpindi District Administration denied PTI permission to hold the gathering, citing law and order issues. Officials noted public safety could not be guaranteed due to ongoing security threats. Section 144 remains in force in Rawalpindi, restricting public gatherings, while logistical and financial constraints made adequate security arrangements difficult.
