Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders have proposed expanding nationwide protests amid internal criticism. The meeting revealed that members felt the party should be more active in addressing public grievances and ensuring clear policy direction from its leadership. Sources also highlighted concerns about medical access for PTI founder Aleema Khan, suggesting she should attend her doctor’s examination. Critics pointed out that no party representative was present during the recent examination.

Additionally, some participants criticized Qasim Zaman, who had been nominated to represent the party at the exam but allegedly faced obstacles in attending. They argued that family presence is crucial for medical examinations and questioned why Aleema Khan or any sister could not meet her doctors. The PTI’s medical team expressed satisfaction with Aleema Khan’s treatment.

Participants at the meeting underscored the need for a peaceful approach to protests while expressing support for PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar, stating that he should take decisive action regarding the ongoing unrest. They noted ambiguity in the party’s protest policy and emphasized reducing the involvement of the founder’s family members to ensure clarity and stability in their organizational structure.

Medical team expressed approval with treatment of Aleema Khan, adding further weight to internal discussions about PTI’s role and leadership during the current crisis.
