There are clandestine communications ongoing between PTI (PTI) and PTI parliamentarians regarding government formation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with recent leadership changes in PTI adding intrigue to the discussions.

Sources reveal that recent developments, including Mahmood Khan assuming the PTI (P) chairmanship instead of Parvez Khattak, have spurred these contacts.

Pervez Khattak and Mehmood Khan reportedly held meetings with key figures in Islamabad, indicating potential shifts in party dynamics.

PTI (P) chairman Pervez Khattak resigned, handing over the reins to Mehmood Khan, a move viewed significantly within KP’s political circles.

With negotiations with Jamaat-e-Islami faltering, PTI leadership is now reaching out to PTI (P) to integrate independent assembly members into KP’s political landscape.

Confirming these developments, Ziaullah Khan Bangash, PTI Parliamentarian’s Central Information Secretary, acknowledged ongoing discussions between the two parties at the legal level, exploring options for independent MPs to join PTI (P).

If legal experts find common ground, leaders from both parties will engage in further discussions. Additionally, it’s revealed that Pervez Khattak’s resignation from party roles is due to health reasons.
