Punjab CM pledges Rs10 billion for Balochistan security forces

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced an Rs10 billion assistance package to bolster security forces in Balochistan during her official visit to Quetta, underscoring Punjab’s commitment to addressing regional challenges.

Her announcement came during the Frontier Corps headquarters ceremony where she met with Governor Jafar Mandokhel and Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti. Accompanied by provincial ministers, Maryam Nawaz also toured the CM Secretariat where she received a warm welcome from Balochistan’s cabinet and assembly members.

Speaking at the event, Maryam Nawaz emphasized Punjab’s readiness to support Balochistan in its fight against security threats and promote peace, stability, and prosperity. She highlighted the people of Balochistan for their resilience and stressed that only through national unity could they achieve lasting progress.

CM Sarfraz Bugti echoed his welcome, noting the initiative as a positive and timely step towards regional cooperation and development. The announcement not only underscores Punjab’s proactive stance but also reinforces its dedication to fostering harmony within Pakistan’s diverse regions.
