Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Vladimirovich Mishustin is likely to visit Islamabad on October 14 to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Heads of State meeting, though the visit remains unconfirmed, according to diplomatic sources. If the visit takes place, he will be accompanied by a delegation, including a significant number of Russian journalists.

This potential visit follows Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk’s recent two-day trip to Pakistan in mid-September, hinting at continued engagement between the two countries.

During his time in Pakistan, PM Mishustin is expected to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other senior Pakistani officials, diplomatic insiders revealed. A formal dinner may also be held in his honor.

Additionally, Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on October 14 with a high-level delegation, further highlighting the importance of the SCO meeting.
