Sarah Ferguson’s recent revelations have sparked an intense backlash among experts, including former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond. In an interview with The Mirror, Bond slammed the ex-Duchess for continuing to believe there’s any chance of redemption after the Department of Justice dropped all charges against her and Epstein.
Bond observed that Ferguson’s charities had abandoned her, her publishers canceled a new book release, and “almost every day brings another revelation about her close association with Jeffrey Epstein.” She added, “It is clear that her delusions have been further reinforced by these developments.”
The commentator went on to recount the previous comebacks Ferguson managed to achieve. “Ms Ferguson has made some spectacular comebacks before, even managing to secure royal social gatherings such as Christmas at Sandringham,” Bond noted. However, she argued that Ferguson’s latest situation is unprecedented.
“She could not have fallen into such depths or maintained such a prolonged and fawning friendship with Epstein, suggesting she must be deluding herself if she still harbors any hope of redemption,” Bond concluded. “If her emails praising him as a ‘legend’ and even jokingly asking to marry him are taken at face value, then yes, she is clearly far from reality.”
