Rising River Flows Heighten Flood Risk

Water levels in rivers originating from Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir have surged significantly, prompting the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) to issue a warning about potential flood conditions.

The SDMA has advised authorities to take immediate preventive measures to safeguard lives and property. Deputy commissioners are directed to restrict public movement near water bodies and identify vulnerable areas for deployment of police and administrative personnel.

Rescue departments have been instructed to remain on high alert, ready to respond swiftly in case of any emergency situation.
