Security forces in Bannu killed two Indian-backed terrorists, including a ring leader named Waheedullah, according to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). The operation took place on April 19, 2026. Weapons and a suicide jacket were recovered, averting potential attacks.

Waheedullah was among the most wanted terrorists for his involvement in multiple terrorist activities that led to the deaths of security forces personnel and civilians. He also served as the handler for a suicide bomber in Bannu District on February 21, 2026.

The operation has brought the main perpetrator to justice and prevented a major catastrophe, according to ISPR. The organization is conducting further sanitization operations to eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored terrorists. Pakistan’s relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under the “Azm e Istehkam” vision will continue at full pace to eradicate foreign-backed terrorism from the country.
