Security Officials Reject Large-Scale Military Operation in Tirah Valley

Security sources on Friday rejected reports of a large-scale military operation in the Tirah Valley, stating that security forces are conducting intelligence-based operations (IBOs) to dismantle militant networks. They emphasized that actions will continue until the last terrorist is eliminated.

Briefing media representatives in Karachi, security officials clarified there was no full-fledged ground operation and no increase in troop strength. Instead, targeted IBOs were underway based on intelligence inputs, with current weather conditions not suitable for a major operation.

According to sources, terrorist elements in the Tirah Valley include an alliance of militants from Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij. They dismissed claims of a large military offensive as “false and baseless propaganda” aimed at creating confusion.

Security forces were acting strictly on actionable intelligence and would continue operations until the complete elimination of terrorist elements. Sources highlighted that the nexus between terrorists and criminal groups had been exposed, with all decisions related to Tirah taken in consultation with local tribal elders while considering local traditions and ground realities.

Sources stressed that misinformation campaigns regarding Tirah were being deliberately spread. Commenting on the security situation in Balochistan, they said militant elements linked to Fitna al-Hindustan opposed public welfare and development.

They cited development projects in the province, noting more than 25,000 kilometers of roads and four cardiac hospitals had been built in Balochistan. Security sources referred to “Maarka-e-Haq,” stating that the Pakistan Army dealt a decisive blow to militants with India now attempting to destabilize peace.

They warned any renewed aggression from India would be met with a stronger response, attributing significant progress in drone technology to Pakistan and acknowledging the role of Pakistani media during “Maarka-e-Haq.” They reiterated the importance of a strong and independent media.
