
In a significant overhaul of senior bureaucratic positions, the federal government has announced changes to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Home Secretary roles in Islamabad.
As per a notification issued by the Establishment Division on Friday, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has assumed the position of the new top police officer in the federal capital, replacing Akbar Nasir Khan.
Rizvi, previously serving as the DIG Operations in Lahore, transitions into his new role, while the former IGP has been directed to report to the division.
Additionally, Trade Secretary Capt (retd) Khurram Agha has been appointed as the new Home Secretary, succeeding his previous role as Commerce Secretary.
