Shaheen Shah Afridi Marks First Anniversary with Heartfelt Message

Pakistan’s T20 captain, Shaheen Shah Afridi, commemorated his first wedding anniversary with a heartfelt note dedicated to his wife, Ansha Afridi.

Taking to Instagram late Saturday, the left-arm fast bowler shared an endearing post, expressing his love and gratitude towards his wife, Ansha, who happens to be the daughter of former cricket star Shahid Afridi.

Happy 1st Wedding Anniversary my soulmate, my lifeline!” wrote Shaheen alongside a picture of the couple standing together. In the photo, they are seen posing in front of a wall adorned with a large bouquet, displaying their names and a celebratory message marking their first nikah anniversary.

Expressing his appreciation, Shaheen thanked Ansha for her unwavering support and credited her for being his strength throughout the year. He concluded the post with a hopeful wish for many more years together, “In shaa’Allah.”

Shaheen and Ansha exchanged their nuptial vows in a private daytime ceremony in Karachi on February 3 last year. Their union was celebrated with a grand rukhsati ceremony hosted by the Afridi family on September 19, 2023, followed by a valima on September 21.
