Shan Foods co-chairwoman, Sammer Sultan has become the first woman from Pakistan to join the Champions of Change Coalition, a Sydney-based, members-only program that connects over 250 C-suite professionals worldwide.
“I am humbled by the enormity of this membership. Being the first woman from Pakistan to join the Coalition, I feel it is my foremost responsibility to live up to this role by furthering my initiatives and creating more female leaders within the workspaces in Pakistan” said Sammer Sultan while sharing her thoughts on her latest achievement.
A staunch advocate of gender equality and inclusivity, Sammer has often been at the forefront of several CSR initiatives aimed at sustainable approaches towards women empowerment. From equal access to education and healthcare to environmental justice, her efforts and partnerships at personal and organizational levels have helped several factions of women across the society, gaining her a place at the table at one of the world’s most prestigious coalitions working towards bringing positive change for women in the workspace.
“Sammer’s addition to the Champions’ list marks a well-deserved milestone on behalf of the women workforce of Pakistan, and signifies the beginning of a new era of workplace inclusion for women in the country” said Fiza Farhan, Convener at the Coalition.
Formerly known as the Male Champions of Change Coalition, the Champions of Change Coalition provides leadership platforms to debate, discuss, and resolve modern-day issues faced by marginalized communities, and helps members in bringing about positive top-down change across the global corporate landscape.
