Sindh Governor Change Expected Soon, Says Deputy PM Dar

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar confirmed on Sunday that a decision regarding the replacement of Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori will be made in the coming days

Dar also clarified that Bashir Memon will not be the new appointee.

Previously, Dar had dismissed similar reports as unfounded. Incumbent Governor Tessori, who took office on October 10, 2022, expressed that no position is permanent and emphasized leaving a memorable legacy.

The MQM-Pakistan had dismissed the reports as rumors, noting that any such decision would have involved consultation with the party. Tessori’s appointment was initially unexpected by the MQM-P Rabita Committee, as his name was not among the three candidates proposed by the party for the governor role.
