Senior actor Shia LaBeouf has found himself ensnared once again in legal troubles following another arrest. This time, he was apprehended on February 28th in New Orleans, charged with a new misdemeanor count of simple battery.
The incident occurred during Mardi Gras celebrations and took place two days after his earlier arrest for misdemeanour battery at the Royal Street Inn & R Bar. LaBeouf had previously agreed to appear before a bail hearing where he posted $5,000 bond and was released under conditions including substance abuse treatment enrollment.
A police report from that previous incident indicated that one of those involved in the altercation suffered facial injuries due to a closed fist strike, which resulted in possible nasal dislocation. Furthermore, LaBeouf reportedly used homophobic slurs multiple times during the dispute. As part of his earlier release terms, he had also been required to submit to drug testing and post a $100,000 bond.
The latest arrest comes just months after airing on Channel 5 where LaBeouf admitted to his February 17th conduct but questioned whether rehabilitation was the best remedy. His career has faced numerous challenges over substance abuse issues.
